North Shore Art Crawl — October 3 & 4 | North + West Vancouver
One of the best weekends to explore local art. More than 100 artists at 70 locations across North and West Vancouver will be showcasing painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, textiles and more. It’s FREE and many locations include demonstrations or opportunities to meet the artists.
West Van Run — Saturday, October 3 | Ambleside Park
A very North Shore way to spend a fall morning. The 10K run and walk begin at 8:30 am, followed by the Kids 1K at 10:30 am, with celebrations at Ambleside Park. Good for those who simply want to come down and cheer people on.
Public Disco Festival — October 3 | Shipyards
For the grown-ups: The Shipyards hosts a 19+ waterfront electronic music festival from 2–10 p.m., with two stages, international and local DJs, an all-vinyl listening lounge and an outdoor food market. Ticketed.
PumpkinFest — October 4 | West Vancouver Community Centre
A great family pick with a pumpkin patch, pony rides, petting farm, live music and treats. Runs from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., rain or shine.
Pay-What-You-Can Day + Lonsdale History Walk — October 4 | Lower Lonsdale
MONOVA offers pay-what-you-can museum admission all day, plus a special 60-minute walking tour of Lonsdale at 3 p.m. Good for families, visitors or anyone who enjoys local history.
Canyon Frights — Starts October 9 | Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
Halloween arrives early in North Vancouver. The park transforms with family-friendly Halloween displays throughout the rainforest, Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure, along with seasonal food and treats. It begins Friday, October 9 runs until November 1 and is included with admission or an annual pass.
Kids’ Halloween Costume Swap — October 14 | Lynn Valley Library
A clever way to get ready for Halloween without buying another costume: Lynn Valley Library hosts its Kids’ Halloween Costume Swap at 3 p.m. on October 14.
